The war memorial in the town centre of Harrogate

Harrogate

The beautiful spa town of Harrogate is unsurpassed with its boutiques and galleries set in stunning architecture and tree lined avenues, you'll enjoy wondering through the cobbled streets and weaving in and out of quirky independent shops. When your feet can't take any more, sample the delights of afternoon tea at the famous Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms.

The following list will give you a flavour of what Harrogate and the surrounding area have to offer.

Restaurants

Mirabelle: This restaurant only opened in November 2010 but is quickly growing a reputaion for excellent cuisine. It is not a bistro-brasserie and as such has a refined menu steeped in French classicism yet is stripped of any pretension. Classy as it is, Mirabelle is the sort of place to celebrate a special meal but equally great for supper with friends or a catch-up over a meal. We have teamed up with Mirabelle and can offer an inclusive price for accommodation with food in the restaurant. See our Food/Meals page for more details. http://www.mirabellerestaurant.co.uk/

Restaurant Bar & Grill: The Restaurant Bar & Grill serves great, simple dishes in a modern and stylish environment. Attracting critical acclaim, both locally and nationally, and with a frequent mix of famous faces, professionals and shoppers adding to an electric atmosphere, The Restaurant Bar & Grill is the ideal setting for any occasion. http://www.therestaurantbarandgrill.co.uk/

William & Victoria: William & Victoria is a family run restaurant and wine bar serving traditional British food in the heart of Harrogate. Owned and run by the Straker family for over 25 years, you are assured a warm welcome from David and his team whenever you visit. http://www.williamandvictoria.com/

Bettys Tea Room: Customers are greeted by a tempting array of delicious Yorkshire and Continental confections in the shop, and an elegant Café Tea Room serving teas and meals in the traditional English style. http://www.bettys.co.uk

Sasso's: A traditional, rustic Italian, family run restaurant, offering authentic Italian cuisine with a strong Bolognese influence – this is by far the town’s best Italian restaurant. Located in a spacious basement restaurant in the very centre of town, the focus here is on quality food and excellent service, wonderful wines. http://www.sassorestaurant.co.uk/

The Orchid: The Orchid provides a unique dining experience combining sophistication and simplicity offering the Orient's most exciting dishes. Drawing on the different influences and skills, the Orchid team's creative approach continues to tempt food lovers from afar and wide, as each of the chosen recipes ensure to delight your senses. Very popular, so be sure to book! http://www.orchidrestaurant.co.uk/index.php
